State-of-the-art flexo presses for package printing and folding cartons have to meet the highest and most varied market demands. This particularly includes the manufacturing of small print runs with different versions at the highest quality.
The technical configuration of such flexo presses has to comply with these severe preconditions. This means they must be suitable to process a maximum range of the most different substrates, offer high application flexibility and a corresponding number of print and converting stations. Moreover, they have to offer a high degree of automation and facilitate fast and easy job changeovers. Therefore, and unlike to previous editions of this survey, we also focused on the fields of automated modules for quality management like colour matching, inline colour management, printing pressure adjustment and proof printing.
In addition, you will also find details on the optional integration of inline modules for digital printing and the converting of the printed products as well as on the implementation of automated
devices for ink supply and print deck cleaning.
In total, 37 press manufacturers from 12 countries have been contacted in the run-up to drupa 2016. Altogether 12 of them provided us with the requested information.
